The Mission of the Center for Mediation is to train, educate and mediate- empowering Rhode Islanders to resolve their conflicts. The Newport Partnership for Families is excited to bring the Center’s trainers to Aquidneck Island for a session focused on effective de-escalation. WWW.CMCRI.ORG

During this session, participants will build on knowledge around communication as well as learn skills and strategies around de-escalation to engage in successful challenging conversations with clients, colleagues and partners. Specific topics will include: exploration of conflict, personal assessments in conflict management and communication, the escalation cycle, strategies to help de-escalate and practice in navigating through challenging situations.
